Eye primer

The makeup base or primer is a makeup product used especially by makeup artists, but also by women who know more about everyday makeup techniques. There are makeup bases for the entire face, which are applied before foundation, makeup bases for eye shadows, which are applied before them, and makeup bases for lips.

The eye primer is applied to ensure the durability of the eyeshadows on the eyelids and to prevent their transfer, the one for lips is recommended especially for preparing the lips before applying matte lipsticks, and the face primer ensures the fixing and easier application of the foundation. The makeup base for the face also helps in hiding pores, offering a velvety effect to the entire face.

All makeup bases prolong the durability of the makeup and improve the overall appearance of the skin. A good primer absorbs excess sebum from the face or eyelids and retains the original saturation of the colors applied over it.

Another important characteristic of a makeup base is that it provides hydration to the skin. A primer for the skin can replace a daily moisturizer. The primer also contributes to the evening out of the skin texture (both on the face and eyelids), as well as to mattifying it.
