The bags under the eyes or the dark circles that appear as a result of a hectic lifestyle, with little sleep and an improper diet, can ruin any makeup. Fortunately, there are miracle products that hide these imperfections – they are called concealers. As with foundations, concealers are available in multiple shades. Choosing the right color of a concealer is essential for a flawless makeup. The application of this type of product is also the secret to a successful make-up. Regardless of the skin type, we recommend choosing a concealer with a moisturizing formula, since the area around the eyes is more sensitive and prone to drying. A creamy and liquid concealer will provide you with the proper coverage of imperfections.

The color of the concealer should match that of the foundation you use. Also consider the following tips when choosing a concealer:

*if you have pinkish dark circles, opt for a concealer with a cool undertone

*if you have purplish/bluish dark circles, opt for a concealer with a warm undertone (beige, yellowish)

*if you have brownish dark circles, choose a concealer with a pinkish undertone (peach color)

The concealer is applied in the under-eye area, but can also be used to lessen the redness at the base of the nose. For a natural effect, the concealer can be applied using the triangle technique – create an inverted triangle, whose base is right under the eye, and the tip is directed towards the cheek line. Blend the concealer with a damp sponge and set it with a translucent powder.
