Choosing the Right Options for Ideal Results
Depending on the natural nail type of your client and the desired outcome, choosing the right products and techniques is essential for optimal results.
When selecting a High Standards base for a semi-permanent manicure with an apex:
- Use the preparation solutions beforehand (Nail Prep and Nail Bonder). These bases have low acidity, improving adhesion to the natural nail.
- If working with problematic nails, enhance durability by applying a thin layer of a clear base (Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear).
- Shape a proper apex; immediately after polymerization, these bases have increased flexibility. To ensure optimal durability, correctly building the apex is necessary. If the base is applied only by brushing or with an insufficient apex, there is a risk of nail breakage.
- If working on very thin nails that tend to detach over time at the corners from the technical material, at the end of the manicure, remove the natural nail through filing using a special bit for the under refill technique.
